Down the TBR Hole #3

Down The TBR Hole is a meme, hosted by Lost in a Story, about organizing your TBR on Goodreads by deciding which books you want to keep, and which books you want to delete.

How it works:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books.
  • Read the synopses of the books.
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

The Books:

I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak

I’m torn on this one. I loved The Book Thief but I’m just not sure about whether I’m going to enjoy this. After reading the synopsis I think I will hold on to this one, I’m still curious about this one.

Judgement: KEEP

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

I’m just not sure about this one, I put it on my list because of the hype. The synopsis doesn’t really intrigue me that much honestly.

Judgement: REMOVE

Crank by Ellen Hopkins

Books in verse are my JAM and I love Ellen Hopkins’ books so this is definitely staying.

Judgement: KEEP

Teacher Man by Frank McCourt

I enjoyed Angela’s Ashes and I wanted to read this because I’m a teacher but I know I started reading it a long time ago and never finished it so I don’t think it’s going to happen.

When Dad Killed Mom by Julius Lester

I read this a long time ago and put it back on my TBR because I want to reread it. I found it at a library book sale, probably the same book I read the first time. I definitely still want to reread this!

Judgement: KEEP

What do you think of the decisions I made? Have you read these books, should I change my mind?
